Job Purpose

BPP Apprenticeship School is recruiting for a Skills Assessor and IV role to accommodate the demand needs within the school across our Technology apprenticeship programmes. We are looking for highly motivated, practitioner-experienced candidates to bring high quality support, nurture and develop talent within the sector. The overall purpose of the role is to support each learner to successfully complete their apprenticeship.

Job Background

You will be responsible for the on programme delivery of IT and Telecommunications apprenticeships. This will include coaching through progress reviews, acting as first point of contact and providing high quality assessment and feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide a structured and appropriate development journey for the apprentices enabling them to maximise their full potential
2. Ensure monthly performance update on learners and progress reviews with learners and line managers
3. Work collaboratively with client services, line managers and
apprenticeship support
4. Provide feedback to the apprentice on modular submissions
5. Communicate effectively with learners via the VLE and other appropriate tools and actively encourage learner engagement with their programmes using resources available
6. Provide academic and safeguarding support to learners
7. Guide apprentices through successful completion of the programme to ensure target retention and completion rates for Apprenticeships are met.
8. Act as educational point of contact for queries and questions as well as to resolve challenges/problems

Additional Responsibilities

1. Contribute to the development of appropriate programme systems and processes
2. Other activities as and when required by the school

Candidate criteria

Candidate Criteria

You must have appropriate IT and Telecommunications industry experience. You must be assessor and IV qualified. You are required to have apprenticeship understanding and knowledge. The successful candidate will have relationship building skills and ability. It is imperative for you to have organizational skills as well as time management skills.It is preferred for you to have experience working in a corporate environment. You should have experience working in a financial services environment.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check.
